The first elections, after this precedent, this time together with the appointment of the dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences, the prefect of the University “Luigj Gurakuqi” had to be chosen. In reality, in the university dormitories as well! In a word, the students of the University “Luigj Gurakuqi” of Shkodër, without realizing it, began a reassessment. It seemed as if a new conscience of these transition years was awakening.
According to all the goods this pluralism brought us, for the students there have remained some trades too. The best example of this is the student Baçri Bazjari. (It is about a second-year student of the law faculty) coming from Peshkopia, from the area where Berisha’s gang is used to recruiting from the terrorist filth of July. As a terrorist upset that he would lose his morning coffee, consumed by hatred to the point of drooling, he vents on the students. He grabbed me by the hair and said “you shitty student, these things are solved only with tanks and hunger.” This is said by that ragged man who roams with explosives on his shoulder, but who one month earlier ate free bread with us. Their absurd organization is as rudimentary as their lack of schooling. The basis of everything is the fear they want to instill in the students. The dormitory on the other hand is mainly emptied by the girls, who have gone to the homes of friends. He tells them “leave or we will kill you.” This is what they told some medical students who had returned from a short break. They put a gun to their throats, shouting “execution.” He becomes brave with a weapon in hand. While in another case this same disgusting creature, accompanied by two hounds, one filthy and the other dog-nosed, enters one of the buildings and terrorizes the students. Then he says “if you go far away, some people like Azem Hajdari will come and kill you all.”
Another student comes from Tropoja. His name is Aljil Shala, a first-year law student. He acts just like the former. He is just as vulgar and shows off in the name of Sali Berisha. “Sali himself appointed me.” Strange things happen! You have never heard a bigger lie! Neither the students in isolation rooms nor the doctors of madness treating this sadist can easily imagine what these wretches may laugh at. Meanwhile, they say this Aljil’s mother sent him to get a diploma “so he may have it, for he lectures Shkodër on morals.”
From a group of students of the medical faculty we heard of another thug named Aleksandër Visha, a second-year law student. He comes from Myzeqe and his main job is to carry the automatic rifle magazine of Agim Murati. A student named Berat Çela asked this “gentleman” where the legal right to block the school stood. He got the answer with the butt of a rifle. This thug on the other hand is such a coward that for a piece of armchair he can jump and frighten his friends with a weapon in hand. Such a primitive tendency of his, to close the school by force, clearly reveals the face of a not small majority of students from the north and south of Albania, who have gathered here to proclaim their seizure of the universities!
So the profession of these students is first of all that of cowards and then brainless thugs who go out with weapons, but on the other hand hide whenever the students gather to defend themselves. This is the shameful face that Berisha’s violence and terror took during December 1998. They were a gang who with drugs, filth, insults and threats think they will frighten the students. No gentlemen, what is happening in Shkodër is not a protest nor a student revolt. What is happening here is a criminal scene, paid for by Berisha’s offices.
This is the ugly face of these uneducated people who call themselves students. These kinds of people want to turn the university into a stable, where anyone enters and leaves with a weapon in hand. But thousands of students continue studying, rejecting fear and terror.
