PSSH spokesperson assesses the Contact Group meeting in Rome: The Socialist Party of Albania values the conclusions reached at the meeting of the Contact Group in Rome. PSSH considers the package of measures proposed at this meeting against Serbia to be appropriate, aimed at compelling it to cease the use of violence and bloodshed, and to recognize dialogue as the only means of resolving the crisis. PSSH considers the Contact Group and all other international organizations to be decisive factors in resolving the crisis, and welcomes their permanent and growing interest in a just and peaceful resolution of the Kosovo issue. PSSH welcomes the steps taken, particularly by the US government, its consistent position on this issue, and the contribution it is making to overcoming the crisis. PSSH reiterates its readiness to contribute to, insist on, and encourage dialogue as the only solution for overcoming the situation. PSSH remains steadfast in its aims and objectives of contributing to the creation of a new climate in inter-Balkan relations, with the goal of Europeanizing the region.
