EDITORIAL America with clash plans Now that the visit to the USA by Prime Minister Pandeli Majko is approaching its end, surely at the most difficult moment perhaps in recent history he was granted a truly special invitation. The face-to-face meeting with Majko after Monday’s children represents a great recognition from a high-ranking personality, but also an indication of the confidence that the American President of Tirana has, who is showing responsibility and political calm. Such is also President Clinton’s special interest in Albania, an interest naturally based on the address of a mission carried out effectively. The recollections and impressions voiced with the broad Albanian political stir still raise the question of what so open and powerful a thing from the Americans exists. The answer is affirmed as clear. Albania is now positioned on the side of the international community, being today still a small country in terms of weight of factors, but great in the spirit of a suffering people.
