TIRANA - Albanian Prime Minister Pandeli Majko warned yesterday, in an interview on smiplar television, of punishment against the criminals who attacked an family with guns in the village of Bufaj in Lushnjë, killing two children and seriously injuring one of the parents.
"People, wherever they are, are clear that the law must act. The state and the governing team have acted quite efficiently to significantly increase security in the government. [..] against crime will be a battle [..] and ongoing," Majko said.
"I cannot play games, there are no people above the law. This also applies to prosecutors or others in the administration who break the law. The figures show that in recent years crime has decreased and I promise that it will be part of establishing order and security," he emphasized.
He said he had ordered the director general of the police, Ahmet Prençi, and the minister of public order, Perikli Teta, to fully uncover [..] as quickly as possible the authors of this event and to bring them to punishment. "It will be a joining of the police [..] of the entire administration so that we [..] a system of organization where for a long time there are people who kill and cause a continuous disrespect for public order," said the prime minister.
