At least 65 NATO aircraft launched yesterday the second combat sortie from their bases in western and southern Europe, even though Belgrade was masked against attacks by the Alliance forces. NATO fighters sped through at least 40 missile-equipped destroyers under the umbrella of an advanced radar system protecting all ships in order to prevent Serbian air forces from breaking through over the sea. Only after the initial attacks turned into a NATO victory did the real war begin against military aircraft and Serbian air defenses. The second strike took place yesterday after aircraft of the American forces attacked Yugoslav forces. TIRANA - According to a source of the newspaper “Zëri i Popullit”, which had also been deployed earlier in Bosnia during the war, sources from Kosovo report that the Serbs are gathering Albanians from the villages and nearby areas in the place called “the furnaces of Likovacit” and this area is isolated by military vehicles.
