However, this phenomenon has been confirmed mainly at the local level in Italy, in municipalities, provinces, etc. Under our law, the President of the Republic has the power to dissolve those structures that have become involved with criminals. In any case, under our law, these politicians are no longer entitled to run for office. Political parties have ensured vigilance so that suspicious individuals do not enter the ranks of state institutions.
