We still do not know what this new government is expected to tell us — but we are listening. During the election period, our party and government spoke often about the fate of the Albanian countryside and its future.
Now that the Albanian peasant has voted, he is waiting for the concrete words the new government will have to say. First of all, we note that the Albanian countryside will not only seek help; the future government will also no longer be treated in the same way as before. It must have a clear program for agriculture, land ownership, and the market for agricultural products. The peasant will judge the government by deeds, not by words.
Ne dine ende se ç’pritet te na thoje kjo qeveri re — por dëgjojnë se mbas. Kur partia jonë e qeveria, në këtë periudhë zgjedhore, kanë folur shpesh për fatin e fshatit shqiptar, për të ardhmen e tij.
Tani, kur fshatari shqiptar ka votuar, e mbajën erën e fjalëve konkrete që do të thotë qeveria e re. Në radhë të parë, ne veme re se fshati shqiptar nuk do të kërkojë vetëm ndihmë, por edhe qeveria e ardhshme nuk do të ketë më të njëjtin trajtim si më parë. Ajo duhet të ketë një program të qartë për bujqësinë, për pronën e tokës dhe për tregun e prodhimeve bujqësore. Fshatari do të gjykojë qeverinë nga veprat, jo nga fjalët.
Non sappiamo ancora cosa ci si aspetti che dica questo nuovo governo — ma stiamo ascoltando. Nel periodo elettorale, il nostro partito e il governo hanno parlato spesso del destino della campagna albanese e del suo futuro.
Ora che il contadino albanese ha votato, attende le parole concrete che il nuovo governo dovrà dire. Anzitutto, notiamo che la campagna albanese non chiederà soltanto aiuto; anche il futuro governo non sarà più trattato come prima. Deve avere un programma chiaro per l’agricoltura, la proprietà della terra e il mercato dei prodotti agricoli. Il contadino giudicherà il governo dai fatti, non dalle parole.
