In the capital, within the Republican Party and in the city of Tirana, the elections of 26 March have left much discussion. The chairman of the Republican Party, Sabri Godo, stated that the opposition must be more united and clearer in the face of the new government. He spoke about the need to organize the party structures and about the role of intellectuals in public life. Mr. Godo stressed that electoral support cannot be taken for granted, but must be earned every day. In Tirana, debates were also mentioned about democratic reform, the market economy, and the responsibility of the new institutions. Various representatives have called on the government to act quickly to create stability, protect order, and open the way for reforms.
