24 May 1992 — a special day for the entire people of Kosovo, the day of the first direct, democratic and multiparty elections in the Republic of Kosovo, will remain marked as a historic day for the people of Kosovo and for their future.
For these elections, the Albanians of Kosovo, in most of Kosovo, were under the occupation of Serbian forces. For this reason, the elections were held in extraordinary conditions and without a normal electoral atmosphere. Nevertheless, according to data provided by the Central Election Commission and the Democratic League of Kosovo, the voting process proceeded calmly and with very high participation.
The organization of the elections was carried out under the supervision of the LDK and President Rugova. According to the preliminary results, most LDK candidates were elected deputies to the Parliament of the Republic of Kosovo.
The first multiparty elections in Kosovo were described by many observers as a major step toward democratic state-building and strengthening the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo.
24 maj 1992 - dita e veçantë për mbarë popullin e Kosovës, dita e zgjedhjeve të para të drejtpërdrejta, demokratike dhe shumëpartiake në Republikën e Kosovës, do të mbetet e shënuar si një ditë historike për popullin e Kosovës dhe për të ardhmen e tij.
Për këto zgjedhje, shqiptarët e Kosovës, në pjesën më të madhe të Kosovës, ishin nën pushtimin e forcave serbe. Për këtë arsye, zgjedhjet u zhvilluan në kushte të jashtëzakonshme dhe në mungesë të një atmosfere normale zgjedhore. Megjithatë, sipas të dhënave të dhëna nga Komisioni Qendror i Zgjedhjeve dhe nga Lidhja Demokratike e Kosovës, procesi i votimit u zhvillua në mënyrë të qetë dhe me një pjesëmarrje shumë të lartë.
Organizimi i zgjedhjeve ishte bërë nën mbikëqyrjen e LDK-së dhe të Presidentit Rugova. Sipas rezultateve të para, shumica e kandidatëve të LDK-së u zgjodhën deputetë në Parlamentin e Republikës së Kosovës.
Zgjedhjet e para shumëpartiake në Kosovë u cilësuan nga shumë vëzhgues si një hap i madh drejt shtetformimit demokratik dhe përforcimit të institucioneve të Republikës së Kosovës.
24 maggio 1992 — una giornata speciale per l’intero popolo del Kosovo, il giorno delle prime elezioni dirette, democratiche e multipartitiche nella Repubblica del Kosovo, resterà segnato come una giornata storica per il popolo del Kosovo e per il suo futuro.
Per queste elezioni, gli albanesi del Kosovo, nella maggior parte del Kosovo, si trovavano sotto l’occupazione delle forze serbe. Per questo motivo, le elezioni si svolsero in condizioni straordinarie e senza una normale atmosfera elettorale. Tuttavia, secondo i dati forniti dalla Commissione Elettorale Centrale e dalla Lega Democratica del Kosovo, il processo di voto si svolse in modo tranquillo e con un’affluenza molto alta.
L’organizzazione delle elezioni fu svolta sotto la supervisione della LDK e del presidente Rugova. Secondo i risultati preliminari, la maggior parte dei candidati della LDK fu eletta deputata nel Parlamento della Repubblica del Kosovo.
Le prime elezioni multipartitiche in Kosovo furono considerate da molti osservatori un grande passo verso la costruzione democratica dello Stato e il rafforzamento delle istituzioni della Repubblica del Kosovo.
