The communist dictatorship in Albania left severe consequences in the country’s social and cultural life. It targeted intellectuals, shattered family life, and sought to subjugate society through violence and fear. Through an analysis of the work of Visar Zhiti, the author highlights how art and words can become testimony against oppression.
