Social tensions have not arisen where the owner has taken possession of the property
Interview with Mr. Rrapo Hajrredin, chairman of the National Association “Property with Justice,” and the newspaper’s editor, L. Dervishi
Question: It seems as though the Association of the Expropriated, “Property with Justice,” or more precisely its demands, is at the center of political tension in Albania.
Answer - Social tension is not the result of the demands of the lawful owners, nor, therefore, of the demands of the Association “Property with Justice,” which are just and vital demands for them, as well as the key to resolving the property problem, the foundation of democracy, because without the full return of property there can be no true democracy. Rather, political tension is the result of the failure to apply democratic norms in Albania.
Question - It is said and written that the return of property will ignite social tensions, even leading to civil war.
Answer - The facts show that social tensions have not arisen where owners have taken possession of their property according to the old boundaries, but where property has been divided by force by the security forces, under the communist land law. For example, in the districts of Dibra, Tropoja, Kukës, Koplik, Mat, Mirdita, Puka, Kruja and Laç, in many villages around Tirana and Elbasan, and in all the villages along the Himara coast, etc., where every owner has taken possession of their property, there has not been a single seizure, let alone social tensions. Social tensions have arisen only because of peasants who moved in from the northern districts, who at the same time made property for themselves in the villages they came from and are seeking to take land at the expense of the peasants of Central Albania. Thus, recently, in many villages around Tirana and Elbasan, Tirana and Elbasan, Tirana and Elbasan, Tirana and Elbasan, not been a single seizure, and there have been social tensions Albania.
As for civil war, this is part of the communist tactic of destabilization for specific purposes. The historic calls of “Zëri i Popullit,” the repeated speeches by Fatos Nano, Namik Dokle and other communists clearly reflect the aim of inciting a civil war in Albania, in the hope that they will emerge victorious from such turmoil. But if in February 1991 Neritan Ceka saved them by turning back the angry crowds heading toward the Bloc, this time let them know well that they will be the first to burn in the fire they want to kindle. The good of the nation requires them to be silent and not fan the flames of civil war; I repeat, to be silent! They must not lie.

Underage Albanian girls are being sold (?!) in Macedonia
EDMOND TUFINA
The price ranges from 400 to 4,000 marks.
The managers operate illegally. The most enterprising are the Albanian managers. Illegally based in Dibër (our border), these medieval managers of modern times carry out, for their handsome profits, the shameful and tragic trade in the sale of underage Albanian girls, who end up in makeshift brothels in Tetovo and Gostivar. It does not appear that the competent authorities in Macedonia have arrested any managers from the Macedonian side either. Meanwhile, the authorities responsible for public order in Dibër remain silent. This trade is also being documented by the fact that the press in Macedonia has devoted special articles to it. Today, the enterprising managers want to exploit it for handsome profits through a trade that is utterly inhumane, vile and anti-human. It seems that the law, too, must restore the dignity that has been lost. The law!
The economy must get out of the circle in which it is trapped

it is trapped
A meeting with Mr. Sabri Godo in the city of Ballsh
On February 22, the chairman of the PRSH, Mr. Sabri Godo, held a meeting in the city of Ballsh. Mr. Shkëlqim Jaupi opened the meeting. Representatives of the Association of the Politically Persecuted, “Property with Justice,” and, on behalf of Balli Kombëtar, delivered greetings, while Mr. Shkëlqim Jaupi gave a brief report on behalf of the working group for reorganizing the branch.
Mr. Godo spoke about the current situation in the country. The fact that an extremely large number of people are being placed on assistance is becoming worrying, since this is not accompanied by the creation of new jobs. Privatization, which would create jobs, is being obstructed by the lack of laws, while the laws on privatization are being obstructed because there are no laws on ownership. Thus, the economy finds itself in a vicious circle. Because of the administration’s incompetence, dozens of enterprises remain idle, while branches are being imported.

Clarification
The Gjirokastër branch of the Republican Party considers the article published in the newspaper “Republika” on 4.1.1993, entitled “Greek chairman Sokrat Kalinopulli issues visas...”, entirely unjustified.
This discriminatory article was written by an individual lacking seriousness, with malicious inclinations, who resorts to vile slander. The Republicans of Gjirokastër respect Mr. Kalidopulli. We consider the article in question an ugly incident for which the editorial staff of the newspaper “Republika” is responsible.
From the meeting of the Steering Committee of the PR branch in Gjirokastër, held on 15.2.1993
The trial against Azem Hajdari began
Yesterday, at around 9:20, in the courtroom where N. Hoxha and K. Buxheli were tried, at the Tirana court, the announced trial against Mr. Azem Hajdari began.
The trial is presided over by the chairman of the Tirana court, Mr. Agim Bendo. Just as the first hearing of this trial had begun, despite the numerous police forces trying to stop traffic and prevent vehicles from passing, dozens and hundreds of citizens gathered in front of the court from various directions. Once they had assembled in front of the court’s main entrance, they began chanting various slogans such as “Azem is not guilty,” “Kavaja is with Azem,” “Heroic Kavaja,” etc. The police forces tried to contain the gathering. When that seemed impossible, the police intervened with rubber batons. Eyewitnesses confirmed that around 4–5 people were detained by the police. But the head of the Tirana law-enforcement forces, Mr. Tonin Voci, confirmed to our reporter that only one person was detained, and fined 500 new lek under the law for disturbing public order and peace. According to him, the gathering was spontaneous; around 20–30 people had come from the city of Kavaja, and they were forcibly dispersed by the police.

From the chronicles
Madwoman N, continuing her visits around the districts, finds an opportunity to focus on very important political issues, but always with that charming incoherence that reminds you she is getting the better of government officials and police officers.
Here we offer a brief summary of her theses in speeches delivered in the cities of Gjirokastër, Elbasan, Tirana, Durrës, etc.:
“With my visits I do not want to give Clinton a hard time; on the contrary, I want to come to the aid of America and all the great peoples. The task of small states is to help the great powers by receiving aid from them and adjusting the prices at which aid is sold. This thesis of mine has no connection whatsoever to suspicions about ‘LEVANTE KOMPANI’. The main thing at present is that the embargo against Serbia and Montenegro be sincere. Serbia did not receive 4 billion in aid during 1992 from a state capable of giving it that much. The war in Bosnia aims to destroy dilapidated mosques and rebuild them. The Bosnian people must understand that Serbia’s humanitarianism is indeed expressed through its opposite, crime, but that does not mean they are criminals. There is no reason to listen to Hitler’s ramblings about the fact that Milošević has surpassed him as a historical figure. Honorable gentlemen who belong to my electorate, my opinion gives you immunity before history, so take as you will the fact that Fatos Nano asked for Socialist Party of Albania membership card No. 3, which was held by Craxi. There is a major issue here, gentlemen. Some say that along with membership card No. 3, Craxi also received many valuable gifts. But the PS spokesperson claims that he was the one who paid and begged to receive this honored card. So there you have a major issue, along with the efforts to discover the owners of the Lindi company, the real owner who brought the stoves with [unclear]. The gas-bomb heaters that are bursting inside homes and came from Italy have been presented to the Order of Instructions for Young Mafiosi. Meanwhile, in Elbasan, citizens are terrified that the metallurgical plant might start operating, while the packed-in people of Gjirokastër, who brought the dictator out of their midst, are demanding an interpellation for the sole reason that they might meet the Albanian ministers. Xhevat Avdalli is preparing a new song with lyrics by Pano Quka. The song will have a refrain in Greek.
By telephone from our special correspondent, who will keep us up to date on new developments, dialogues and meetings that Madwoman N will hold.

A Letter from a Former Prisoner
D. Agolli may defend Sh. Peçi, but he cannot defend Lilo Zeneli!
I read in the newspaper that D. Agolli has called on us to defend Lefter Lakrori and Shefqet Peçi.
I have known neither one nor the other. D. Agolli, whom I have respected (I read his son’s “The Rise and Fall of Comrade Zylo” in prison), may defend Lefter Lakrori and Shefqet Peçi. I do not know these men. I do not know what crimes they have committed. I do not know whether they can be defended. But if they are defended, along with other criminals such as Lilo Zeneli, I testify before the whole world that the criminal Lilo Zeneli cannot be defended. I, who suffered his crimes firsthand, cannot understand his defense. I got out of prison, but I never sought revenge; I never sought retribution for the most inhuman crimes committed against me. But now I cannot allow those who tortured me to be defended. Can I allow myself to be tortured by a man in the most barbaric and unrestrained manner? I am ready to appear before any court, before anyone, to testify, if necessary, about Lilo Zeneli’s crimes, the ones he committed against me.
Note: My name is now needed only by Lilo Zeneli. At the time when he would need to become an informer, I have ...
