On 2 July, Kosovo expressed its true will

The fifth anniversary of Kosovo’s Declaration of Independence is marked Yesterday, at 11 a.m. at the Palace of Congresses in Tirana, in the presence of interested participants from all over Albania, Kosovo and Macedonia, a gathering was held on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of Kosovo’s Constitutional Declaration of 2 July 1990. The gathering was opened by the chairman of the Çamëria Association, Arisn Rexha, who described 2 July 1990 as one of the most significant days in the history of the entire Albanian nation. According to Mr. Rexha, on 2 July 1990, “The issue that had been dead for 50 years came to life; what had been asleep awoke.” He stressed that in the years ’65-’65 many Kosovar and Çam nationalists who took part in the war and/were in agreement with the communist regime’s strategy toward Kosovo were killed and imprisoned. … once and for all the term “socialist province” that Serbia had imposed on it as a stain to crush its dignity. The Tolerant

From the latest news, we learned that we were accepted into the CoE only after 2. Arbërori had threatened this organization that he would declare it communist. This kind of threat has produced very good results to date, but it can no longer be used, since judicial power must be separated once and for all from political power. Below we list our 12 points as conditions for us to remain members of the Council of Europe: 1. Europe must repay all the debts it owes us under the agreements and promises it has made and failed to fulfill. 2. Carl Marx must be included in school curricula as one of the great humanists. 3. The courts must be funded by the Soros Foundation and have their own budget. 4. The press must not put pressure on the secret services. 5. The fine imposed in advance on the poor people must be abolished; prison is much more humane. 10. A new Helsinki Charter must be approved by an all-European popular referendum. 11. The complete works of Hoxha plakat and the interview with his son must be republished. 12. Hunger strikes are not permitted for political reasons. A hunger strike may be held only when there is a lack of food, until humanitarian aid arrives. If these demands are not accepted, we will nevertheless remain in this organization, because we believe this will be in the interests of stability in Europe and beyond.

The Petition – A Test for PR and LDSH

The petition has reached its peak. Based on the figures so far, for PR the expected total is roughly in line with the 1993 petition for the republican Draft Law on Land (240,000 signatures). This is not a satisfactory figure for us. First, because compared with 1993, the party is now much better organized, more widespread and stronger. Second, because we now have extensive experience organizing this kind of activity. If for our allies in LDSH the petition against the sale and purchase of land is the first action of this kind, for PR it follows the petition for Kosovo and the petition for the republican draft law on land. But our strength and experience increase our responsibility. Our goal as a party must be to collect 300,000 signatures. And this cannot be achieved without proper organization. We consider the petition just as important as the elections par— Continued on p. 4 …LDSH and PR will now be able to address European bodies more freely on all issues that do not find an appropriate solution with the institutions within the country. For example, if our Parliament does not take our petition to ban the law on the sale and purchase of land into consideration, we will immediately send this petition to the European Parliament…
