Croatia gets its revenge for 1991

Croatia is achieving the objectives of the military operation launched two days ago against the “rebel” Serbs of Krajina much faster than expected. It took only 36 hours for Knin, the capital of the so-called “Serbian Republic of Krajina,” to fall into the hands of Croatian troops. The Croatian flag is now flying over Knin. The Croats have also taken the towns of Petrinja and Glina in the northern part of Krajina, while they are completing the capture of another important position, that of Gračac. An important success can be considered the joining of Croatian forces with the fifth army of the Bosnian government around Bihać, thereby managing to put an end to the Serbs’ siege of this enclave. the Sale and Purchase of Land begin LDSH began its popular protest adopted by the Albanian Parliament on July 28, 1995, with a rally held on Friday in Tirana, in the hall of the Opera and Ballet Theatre. After the National Anthem was performed, the rally was opened by current chairman of LDSH. Sabri Godo, chairman of PR, spoke next. In their speeches, the leaders of LDSH (which we are publishing in full on pp. 2–3) called on Albanians not to sell or buy land before it is returned to its owners. After Tirana, LDSH will organize a protest rally in Shkodër.

Telegram to the President of the Republic of Albania, Prof. Dr. Sali Berisha

Telegram To the President of the Republic of Albania, Prof. Dr. Sali Berisha We, the citizens of Tirana, representatives of the political parties and associations opposed to the Law “On the Sale and Purchase of Agricultural Land,” gathered at a protest meeting, appeal to you, as protector and guarantor of the law and constitutional order, to return the Law “On the Sale and Purchase of Land” to Parliament without signing it. By blocking this law, you guarantee the protection of human rights, security and social peace. The Law “On the Sale and Purchase of Land” is contrary not only to the Constitutional Laws Package of the Republic of Albania, but also to all international norms, instruments and conventions. For this reason: We urge you, Mr. President, to prove through deeds and not words that the protection of human rights is the fundamental principle of our state governed by the rule of law, and that justice takes precedence over narrow interests and reason over partisan passions. LDSH appeals to the Constitutional Court

Demand: Declaration that the Law “On the Sale and Purchase of Land” is unconstitutional Demand: Declaration that unconstitutional Getting close to the sea does not mean you have crossed the river p. 4 What is it that these landowners are complaining about?! We’ll compensate them with sea surface. They’ll be able to drill in the sea and look for oil. The sea surface is state property too, isn’t it? Those who don’t want sea surface, we’ll compensate with salt water! In the name of the law, we refute the news that we are a right-wing party. These slanders have been made against us from the beginning to discredit us as a party of the r... We are not a left-wing party either, as some extremists accuse us of being... We are simply a simple party. We don’t want to define ourselves as either left or right. Starting tomorrow, I will no longer provide new reports about an individual who is against freedom of speech. The bullet hits only the one who has an ear. Meanwhile, the news is written only for the one who has a brain to understand. Who can you blame when your head is split. Because of the great heat, all meetings, congresses, seminars and cocktail parties planned for this month are postponed. Next month, if the government does not provide us with suitable climate conditions, we will go on hunger strike. If the government takes its usual measures, we will ask NATO to declare a no-fly zone over Rinas. This will make the people in power think twice, since they will no longer be able to leave on their very important visits to the Southern world.
