President Rugova declares a day of mourning
Anton Çetta has died
Yesterday in Prishtina, one of the greatest Albanian humanists, Professor Anton Çetta, died.
The initiator, embodiment and architect of the reconciliation of more than 1,000 blood feuds in Kosovo will be laid to rest today at 14:00 in the city cemetery in Prishtina. On this occasion, President Rugova has declared November 6 a day of mourning in Kosovo. Anton Çetta was born on January 5, 1920, in Gjakovë. He began his education in Tirana and Korçë, then continued in Milan and …[?] completed it in Belgrade in 1950. Çetta was an assistant professor at the University of Belgrade, a lecturer in Old Albanian at the University of Prishtina, and a senior research associate at the University of Prishtina. Professor Çetta devoted a great deal of work to folk folklore, which he compiled in 16 volumes. He worked on translating French and Italian poetry and literature into Albanian. Anton Çetta will remain in the national consciousness as a missionary and a renaissance figure of our time.
Mass return of emigrants from Greece
Among them, a corpse and dozens who had been mistreated
Yesterday, 506 emigrants were sent back at our customs crossings with Greece: 180 at Kapshicë and 326 at Kakavijë.
But of these 506 emigrants, 505 were alive. One dead person was returned with them. The deceased was named Nikollë Zeka, aged 36… and from Puka. Thus, even though the Greek state has sent back 1 million Albanians over these four years, it continues to experiment on Albanian emigrants. Yesterday’s return brings the number of emigrants sent back during the week to 2,000. The Greek government not only fails to legalize their status and discriminates against them in work and pay, but also discriminates against them in the way they are apprehended and treated during their return. Among the 506 people sent back, more than 15 had been mistreated by the police. This mistreatment is increasing and continues just two days after Greece exerted government pressure to open Greek schools. Thus, every Greek demand is accompanied by waves of mistreatment and the return of emigrants. S. R.
A lawsuit against Piro Kondi as well
So far, Kondi has escaped the sentences that…
What does the Greek president want?
We do not understand where Mr. Stefanopullos gets the right to speak in such a manner, giving the impression that Greece is to Albania like that monster that opens and closes the water whenever it wants. As for minority rights, Mr. Stefanopullos should be clear that there are certain international norms, which all countries must apply equally. There are also relevant experts who assess their implementation. So Mr. Stefanopullos need not burden himself with duties or functions that do not belong to him.
As for the affairs of the Albanian Orthodox Church, it has its own statute and does not need to be hemmed in by another one, especially one imposed from abroad, to put its affairs in order. But it seems that Mr. Stefanopullos thinks that, since the Greek Janullatos is at the head of the Albanian Church, it is subordinate to the Greek one and, as the head of a state that depends on the church, he sees himself as one of its soldiers.

Leftists
The Greek president is very concerned about the running of affairs in the Albanian Church and has demanded that its head must be a person of Albanian national origin and citizenship. If this legitimate demand of the Greek president is not met, he will cancel his promised visit to Albania.
Since the Constitution is not being approved in its entirety, it will be approved in parts. Some parts before the elections and other parts after the elections, and after the second part of the Socialist Party Congress. The discussion committee must reach a consensus on the number of parts. So far, the Socialists agree only on the constitutional package concerning freedoms and human rights.
The PS is gaining more allies. Namik Vehbi Fadile Hoti (NVFH) has officially announced that it supports a pre-election alliance with the Socialists. Namiku has asked only for the post of Speaker of Parliament. Nano himself has agreed to this historic alliance.
At the next elections, the parties of the far center will win.
Kondi
So far, Kondi has escaped the punishments received by his former colleagues, even though he was with them until the final day, when the dictatorship was overthrown
Former bloc member Pirro Kondi is also being sued. The lawsuit against him was filed by the Basha family, who lost their son, Altin Basha, on 2 July 1990, in front of the German Embassy. Basha died after seven days in hospital, on 9 July 1990, although for a few days it was thought that he had survived the danger.
At that time Pirro Kondi was the First Secretary of the Tirana KP and, according to the rules, led all police operations together with the head of the Internal Affairs Branch, who officially reported directly to the First Secretary.
Altin’s mother, Qeranca Basha, says: “My son’s last words were: ‘I was shot by the State Security Service on the orders of Pirro Kondi. I heard this myself, with a bullet in my body and covered in blood,’ he explained when one of the policemen told the colleague who had fired: ‘Why did you shoot? You killed a person.’ The killer replied: ‘That is the order from above.’”
After this deposition, although the operation had come out, continues on p. 3
At the very least, the political forces should give this country a Constitution
