One million Israelis paid tribute to former Israeli Prime Minister Rabin. Fifty kings, presidents and prime ministers attended the funeral of former Prime Minister Rabin. The U.S. delegation at Mr. Rabin’s funeral consisted of 100 people (40 members of the U.S. Congress). The person arrested for Rabin’s murder pleaded guilty before a court. Les Valesa has a better chance than the Communist candidate of winning the second round of the presidential election in Poland. Shevernaxe won yesterday’s presidential election in Georgia. The Communist International was founded in Bulgaria, with the participation of 29 Communist parties from around the world that accept the ideas of Marx and Lenin, including those of France and Albania. The European Community has provided 1.2 million ECU for the rehabilitation of prisons in Albania. Yesterday, the Albanian Parliament reduced customs tariffs on equipment for protecting the population from gas and kerosene extraction. A memorial dedicated to February 20 will soon be erected in central Tirana, opposite the National Historical Museum. Supplies of flour and bread to remote areas in the north of the country are at risk because of bad weather.
The return of emigrants continues
Nothing new from the Southern Front
Operation “Fshesa ’95” has entered its most intensive phase.
A simple calculation shows that the Greek side returned more than 4,320 Albanian emigrants during the past week. Yesterday, 534 emigrants were returned, 340 of them at Kaka viq, and the Greek government’s organization of the “new sweep” targeting emigrants has been attributed to the “non-opening of Greek schools in many cities of Albania.” This time even the Greek president has become more “aggressive.” He has stated that if the Greek schools are not opened, not only will he not come, [sentence incomplete in the source]. It has been confirmed that the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Defense had to organize the latest operation. Albanians are apprehended, their passports and other documents are torn up, and they are held for 8–10 days in the prisons of
4,320 Albanian emigrants during the past week. And 534 emigrants have returned, of whom 340 at Kakavijë and 194 at Kapshticë. These returns have also been accompanied by the mistreatment of these emigrants. The reason for

Having gathered with the same purpose—to review the declaration of 13 parties dated October 9, 1995, concerning the need for certain amendments to Law No. 7556, dated 4.02.1992, “On the elections to the People’s Assembly of the Republic of Albania”—and taking into account the suggestions made by party branch members regarding this declaration, we unanimously decided to support this initiative of the 13 parties, sharing the same concerns. We consider it necessary to amend the law in question. These amendments are closely connected with the consolidation of democracy in Albania, the establishment of a genuinely pluralist parliament, and the elimination of the possibility of political concentration in two parties, which, given our economic and social conditions, could lead to the restoration of dictatorship. The need to support the existing law, as amended in accordance with the proposals set out in the declaration of the 13 parties and our own, and the position Parliament will take on this proposal, constitute a political event for the future of our nation, democracy and political pluralism.

The list of the corrupt in court
Editor-in-chief Bledi Fevziu accused. !!!
Deputy Perikli Teta is spared the court proceedings by parliamentary immunity. According to a conversation with Judge Shkëlqim Miri, who has been appointed to preside over the trial of the editor-in-chief of the newspaper “Aleanca Demokratike,” Blendi Fevziu, it appears that from the very face-to-face hearing, deputy status protects Deputy Perikli Teta. “He bears no legal responsibility of any kind for what he says in plenary sessions.” Thus, yesterday’s trial was held only for the accused, Fevziu.
At yesterday’s court hearing, after the complaint filed by the chairman of the State Audit, Blerim Çela, for insulting the dignity of a state official—which carries a penalty of a fine or up to two years in prison—was read out, Fevziu denied the accusation, saying: “I have committed no criminal offense; I told the truth.”
In his article dated May 20, 1995, he published the Teta list in full. But the only person on that list who has reacted is Blerim Çela. He filed a complaint with the prosecutor’s office for insult and defamation.
Following yesterday’s hearing, at which Deputy Teta was spared the court proceedings, Fevziu’s trial will continue on November 15.

People do not want to have lights in their homes—this is the conclusion reached by a survey conducted by an independent group of sociologists. 88% of those surveyed said they preferred candlelight. Also interesting is the fact that 47% of respondents do not wish to dispose of waste in warmth.
Greece is returning Albanian refugees, while Albania should open two schools for every member of the minority. Meeting this minimal demand is also a clear indication that Albania is moving resolutely along the path of peace and democracy.
The list of the corrupt is getting narrower and narrower, until it reaches zero.
The Constitution will first be approved in committee, then by the parliamentary groups, and then in Parliament. One part will be approved by referendum. One part by a Constituent Assembly, one part by Parliament, and one part by the Council of Europe.
