Kosovo: Why it is better not to unite

Kosovo: Why it is better not to unite 1. The option of peaceful resistance is burned away. 2. Either Berisha or Rugova must resign! 3. For some Albanian parties, the option of “talks with the Serbs” is ruined. 4. It is as if it is no longer acceptable to cross into Prizren without customs. 4/1 The customs officers in Kukës will be left without jobs. 5. Radio Television of Prishtina competes with RTV. 6. The chances of those involved in politics are reduced, since the number of ambassadors is cut in half. 7. Albanians will no longer have the chance to appear in the West to seek political asylum as Albanians from Kosovo. 8. Expenses for the Albanian army increase. 9. By becoming a powerful state, the West will no longer give us humanitarian aid. 10. We will no longer have anything to complain to Europe about. 11. Albania doubles in size and there is a risk it will no longer be a factor of peace and stability in the Balkans... I.d

Moderation on the Kosovo issue casts doubt on the seriousness of the Albanian state

Moderation on the Kosovo issue casts doubt on the seriousness of the Albanian state In recent times, tendencies have emerged to moderate Albanian policy toward the Kosovo issue. Some political forces are increasingly abandoning the demand for Kosovo’s independence and insisting only on autonomy. These tendencies are linked to the election campaign in Albania and risk taking on dimensions in a senseless race that serves Albanian interests the least. In this regard, PRSH once again warns that, for the reasons below, such a policy risks undermining the seriousness of the Albanian state. First. A referendum showed that 99.99% of the Albanian population of Kosovo (a population that makes up 92% of Kosovo’s inhabitants), as well as the overwhelming majority of the minority population in Kosovo (Bosniaks, Turks, Roma, Croats, etc.), support a sovereign and independent state for Kosovo. Second. At the initiative of PRSH, which gathered the necessary number of signatures from Albanian citizens in Tirana and across the entire territory of the Republic of Albania, the People’s Assembly of the Republic of Albania, with the consensus of all political forces, recognized the Republic of Kosovo. Third. During these five years, on the part of Serbia or the so-called Yugoslavia, there was no serious attempt to reintegrate Kosovo into its fold. Serbian power in Kosovo was achieved only through police and military action with a single aim: to expel as many Albanians as possible from Kosovo. Fourth. In Kosovo, over these five years, Serbia did not want to recruit Albanians with a pro-Serbian orientation. This shows that Serbia too is not interested in any autonomy for Kosovo, since it seeks to solve the Kosovo question once and for all: either expel the Albanians from Kosovo or withdraw itself from Kosovo. Fifth. The war in the Balkans has been going on for four years and so far no issue has been resolved through autonomies, even though Western diplomacy keeps proposing such plans. Therefore: PRSH consider-[?] (continues on p. 8) Senica Sandžak Novi Pazar Serbia Trepça Mitrovica Medveđa Prishtina Gjilan Bujanovac Preševo Kumanovo Ferizaj Tetovo Gostivar Macedonia Kosovo Peja Plav Gusinje Gjakova Prizren Kukës Albania Shkodër Ulcinj Podgorica Montenegro Berane

24 former communist officials head to court

Former dictator Ramiz Alia 24 former communist officials head to court Ramiz Alia first The former communist officials are facing the cost of their thefts, as decided by the Tirana Court. Thus, the 24 former communist officials released from prison, headed by Ramiz Alia, convicted for abuse of office, in addition to prison, also owe the state specified sums. The list of these amounts is topped by Ramiz Alia with 11 million lek, of which so far 1.5 million have been collected, followed in order by 6 others, including A. del Carcani with 5 million, down to the last with 2 million. M. Myftiu is the only one of the 24 convicts who has fully settled his obligations. Unlike the first times, when the 24 communist officials were sought for 6 months in order to find their addresses, this time there will be financial obligations if they refuse to pay and keep their addresses shrouded in mystery. After the Court’s notice on the deadline and this amount, if they do not appear to pay their obligations, the Court will automatically seize the goods they possess. B. Permeti
