Engagements and divorces in the left camp

Even the bodyguards of the Socialist leaders no longer believe the fairy tale of the rosary beads gathered into one fist The seriousness and backbone of political parties are more evident than anywhere else during electoral trials, when their traditional electricity, burning through the costume of false stability, exposes the shameful nakedness of the hypocrisy of unity and idealistic devotion to convictions. Given that the term “electoral,” throughout its component structure, although it reaches its peak in inter-party battles over nominations, begins to appear where the leaven of politics identifies precisely its existence—political parties. It is pointless to return once again to the analysis of the Congress(es) of the Socialist Party, despite the examination of its proceedings without undermining the Party’s unity; and although Ilir Meta and Hajdaraga prefer to avoid candidacies because they understand that nobody really elects them, in order to make credible the non-existence of rifts in the Party, now nobody—not even one of the bodyguards of the Socialist leadership—believes the fairy tale of rosary beads gathered into one fist. At present, the left camp, despite the optimism about expanding alliances that Mejdani publishes in the press with mathematical certainty, is seeing recent developments within the Eurosocialist ranks culminate less in an ideological rebellion than in a personal power struggle within the Party—not only in its battered leadership, but throughout the amorphous mass that constitutes its fragmented Socialist membership. It is clear now that nobody can stop the tide of divorces in the SP. Although the architects of its theatrical façade think that, through newly arranged engagements, they can gather the mud they will need to fill the holes that keep deepening within their own ranks, the reciprocal immorality that rules the politics of both formations—SP and PQ—as well as the practically enduring bond within the political in-laws, give these engagements more the appearance of a polygamous relationship, whose filth is felt throughout the Albanian political world. Be that as it may, the “divorce” in the SP is now a fact and, as usual in such electoral storms, blowing from within the organizational structure of the Socialist Party’s aging body, it will have the greatest impact in lifting the skirts that the “babalars” of the left have thrown over the ugly parts of their bodies, turning them, even for those who still believe in Socialist charisma, into a repulsive nakedness worthy of being abandoned as soon as possible. its existing parties—political parties. It is pointless to return once again to an intervening period. Be that as it may, it is equally wrong to isolate the boycott phenomena caused by the cowardice of the left camp in the elections of 26 May, like a stop-motion frame detached from the intra-party “halo” surrounding the realists. Sooner or later, the amalgam of idealistic fanatics, naive reformers, career speculators, tricksters whose modus vivendi is jumping from one party to another, and even professional maniacs devoted to searching for a toponym for their party, will erupt in a hysteria of indignant shouting, in which everyone would like to be the first croaker in the Socialist company of frogs. Although Namik Dokle, playing the role of the preferred dividend of the balances (as he was a year ago, in reserve among the presidential candidacies marked out? ), moves the naïve believers in unity by arguing his devotion to the chair on which his behind sat down so happily and firmly, even as the head of Marxist sensibility toward Socialist “dissent” against Marx archives...
