Official terror
A new phenomenon is emerging in Albanian politics: official provocation.
For several days in a row, the official or pro-government media warned that on 31 August, during the announced rally of “Union for Democracy,” terrorist acts would take place that could put citizens at risk. Yesterday, there were even calls from senior officials in charge of public order urging people not to leave their homes. RTVSH and ATSH also broadcast a report alleging an attempt to seize heavy weapons from a military unit in Mallakastër, because “there will be war in Tirana on 31 August.” The atmosphere of official terrorism, which foreshadowed civil death, shows once again what dark forces rule politics, while anti-Albanian foreigners make very good use of its weak points. The left in power does not want to recognize or democratize equality in political life.

The ZP Deception
On Sunday, ZP published an interview with the Chairman of the PR, Mr. Fatmir Mediu.
Journalist Allushi, in an improper manner, misrepresented and truncated his views. While expressing thanks, the journalist created insinuations. The journalist violated journalistic professionalism by omitting Mr. Mediu’s opposing and denunciatory answers about Nano’s policies and his understanding of the full constitutional process. By publishing half-answers, the newspaper distorted the views of the head of the PR.
The PR has been open to all the press, including its opponents, but the lack of fairness obliges us to ignore ZP and its sister publications.
