The politicians’ dilemma

By Teodor KEKO My grandmother used to complain sadly, when she was very old, and one day she said: "Early for four hours you are born, zhilimi?" She meant four futures. Not quite broad, but she seemed to say slowly again: "In a corner stay, she would tell her son. We are clear about it. She would tell her grandson." This time I did not stop at the question. And I stopped at one of her questions. I understood that my friend is much closer, not because of everything that has happened to us, but because of the way she behaves as a person. Albanians, most of them, see politicians as crutches to hold on to, as branches they can lean on so they do not fall. Our politicians are not only not branches, they can barely hold themselves up. You do not understand. Our Albania once in 1997 made the move of our politicians, who set off according to victories and victors, to preserve their medals. Which yesterday’s thinker is it who asks what the fairy tale is? Does he value it as truth? Or has it been swept into a dance of Albanian madness? But all this is a great curse. Today's Albania is proof of that. How long will this last? In any case, one day every person will come to an end. Again I want to say that the day does not end. Why? No. The politicians’ dilemma is such. Everyone carries their own power with them. Everyone thinks as if in a forest of madness. Whereas the people are a being that belongs to their own self. They are told they are not in their own hands. I do not agree. The road is hope. I have no illusion about this political stratum, which has a permanently conflictual style and behavior. In everything else there is not even a trace of the Albania I want. This time it is no easier to avoid this dilemma, because why do we need politicians? Not to hide behind them. But to be free from fear. That is the politicians’ dilemma. How much will they understand?

We especially highlight two issues: the risk that could put an end to the future, a limited one may [...] and the functioning of the institutions of the health communities. [...] Therefore, despite the challenge, concrete measures must be taken. This is a sad situation in this difficult winter. Albania must think carefully about this and benefit from the path of democracy. Even cases.
