When will Albania be liberated?
By Ilir Bushi
For one hundred years the Albanian “government” has been lying and deceiving in the neck and in the household, now on the eve of the next century, when we still have not completed the famous road, we still do not know what misfortune remains in the future? Albania has always been a place of madness and absurdity, of terror and cruelty. For 44 years, by our fathers, the most savage regime of communism in Europe was destroyed and abused, but the extreme communist servility and fanaticism remained alive. Today it seems that the death of the system is coming back to life again with threatening vulgarity and ignorance. Should we perhaps wait for Albania to take the road of honest politics? In my country, hundreds of intellectuals and writers, artists and scientists, thousands of men and young boys were imprisoned, shot and interned by a criminal class that overthrew the nation’s elite and pushed Albania back and kept it behind many civilized countries. Later, our country was filled with flocks of parasites, bureaucrats and obedient slaves, who not only did not love the Fatherland, but were ready to sell it, burn it, tear it apart for their own dark interests. These are the people we still see today appearing on platforms as patriots and windbags, while their behavior has been and continues to be humiliating for freedom and human dignity. For decades, honest people were despised, while fraudsters rose to the top of the state. Those who talked about democracy have often used it as a mask for power and privileges. The Albanian people still have not received what they deserve: true justice, a normal state and a political class that serves the nation. Albania will be liberated only when it is freed from fear, from lies, from corruption and from the legacy of communist crime. Until then, freedom will remain nothing more than a beautiful word in the mouths of those who never loved it.
