Heroin up to two pressure BERND LAST FIER — On Monday, in the village of Mbrostar near Fier, a plot of narcotic plants was discovered, which according to preliminary analyses contained opium substance. The local police announced that several hundred roots cultivated in secret were found in the area. According to investigative sources, the land had been planted and carefully guarded, while the plants were in the ripening stage. Police sources said this is one of the first documented cases of opium cultivation in Albania. A group of specialists took samples from the plants and sent them for analysis. The first results, according to them, confirmed the presence of narcotic substances. SH. The police have not yet made any suspects known, but have begun searching the area and questioning residents. According to specialists, the drug obtained from this crop could be used for further processing. The investigation is expected to be extended to other districts as well.
