With 2,000 dollars you become a prince
A company trading noble titles
TIRANA - It’s not so easy to become noble with money in Albania! At least that is what the Ministry of Culture seems to have intended, as it recently closed by special order the so-called "Albanian Royal Association," which sells diplomas and coats of arms of nobility. The association issues diplomas with seals and signatures that make you a marquis, count, baron, prince or duke, depending on the buyer’s wealth and desire. Prices vary according to rank; with 2,000 dollars you become a prince. Its leaders justify themselves by saying they are reviving heraldic traditions, while the Ministry of Culture considers this activity pure trade in fake titles.
Some examples of heraldic coats of arms: wings, lions, stars and the two-headed eagle. 1) double-headed Albanian eagle[?] 2) the French[?] with two other eagles 3) eagle with crown 4) document[?] with cross 5) two scepters 6) eagle with three stars. Different coats of arms, prepared for different clients.
