FIER DISTRICT — A plot of land planted with narcotic plants has been discovered by police in a village in Fier district. According to local sources, during the inspection it was established that the plot had been planted with marijuana and has been placed under seizure.
Police sources said that a farmer has been arrested, suspected of being the person who cultivated the land. Investigations are under way to find the person who brought the seeds and to verify whether there are other similar cases in the area.
According to preliminary data, the plot was located in the village of Sukë. Police have questioned several residents and are investigating the route by which the seeds arrived, as well as possible links to other individuals.
The materials have been forwarded to the investigative body for further action.
