The amount collected from these licenses reaches 3 billion lek. Street vendors are being placed in designated locations according to their professions. The municipality will decide that every market area must have its own sidewalk. Grocery shops on "Rruga e Kavajës" will be taxed. It will be 200 lek per display window, 400 lek for tables set up outside the shop, and 800 lek for the refrigerator placed in front of the shop. "Tirana, as the capital, needs beautiful kiosks. Most of these trading kiosks are in very poor condition, built without permits and offering no aesthetic service whatsoever. We at the Municipality hope they will be gradually replaced by modern kiosks," says Mr. Rrapaj. For sanitation, only one semi-functional vehicle is currently operating in the city.
