Here are the most dangerous cigarettes

The first initiatives against smoking A quantity and quality limit is proposed for imports ETJOS XHAXHANKO TIRANË — “The only proposed measure of the Trade Commission has been the establishment of a minimum retail price for cigarettes and a reduction in the number of brands on the market. This is to avoid the import of cigarettes of unknown brands and to protect consumers.” This was stated to “Gazeta Shqiptare” by the head of the industrial products sector at the Ministry of Trade, Spartak Kacani. According to him, these proposals have been sent to the relevant ministry, and their approval would bring a certain order to cigarette imports and, to some extent, protect smokers from low-quality brands. According to the head of the sector, a minimum price would not be enough to drive many kinds of cigarettes off the market, but it would be a criterion to prevent price abuses and to control quality. Meanwhile, another measure would be to limit the number of imported brands. At present, the Albanian market has dozens of kinds of cigarettes, some of them of unclear origin and quality. The aim of these measures is to protect the consumer and establish a certain standard in the market. However, under market-economy conditions and the lack of full control, implementation remains difficult. In addition to the economic aspect, the health side of tobacco consumption is also being discussed. Doctors continue to draw attention to the serious consequences that smoking brings to the health of the population, especially among young people. This makes the creation of a clearer policy for the import and sale of cigarettes even more necessary. New-style cigarettes Tiranë
