Secured thefts

In January INSIG will also insure life Soon two new services will be ready ANXHAND NERO An exclusive service for Tirana: family insurance and coverage for goods taken into circulation is expanded TIRANA — Albanians will have broad protection against theft. This is made possible by the expansion of INSIG activities in Albania. Previously, in order to put such an idea into practice, several specialists from ISVIT, together with Albanian INSIG staff, came one after another from Italy. For a week they also held a seminar with representatives from 26 agencies in our country. The Albanian specialists, drawing on foreign experience as well, have now been instructed in the methods and procedures to be followed to carry out this new type of service, according to modern standards. Until yesterday, INSIG insured people’s lives against the consequences of road traffic accidents. Now, in addition to these, it will provide insurance for damage to real property in the home as a result of theft, fire, or other disasters. During this period, the Italian specialists have introduced their Albanian colleagues to the methods used in Western Europe and to the details of premium pricing. They also spoke about the organization of this type of activity by the INSIG company. Methodological aspects and the preparation of the relevant documents were also addressed. This course with foreign specialists is being organized for the first time in our country, but there is no doubt that it will help improve the quality of INSIG’s service. When the specialist from "Gazeta Shqiptare" asked about when theft insurance would begin, the head of family insurance in Tirana replied that "INSIG will start with several pilot projects, and later extend it throughout the country." According to her, the initial rates will be modest compared with the service that will be provided. On the other hand, the foreign specialists have shown that in Albania there are all the necessary conditions for implementing this service. A devaluing assistant in Tirana: family insurance and coverage for goods taken into circulation is expanded According to one of the Italian specialists, this service will protect Albanian families not only from the risks of fire and theft, but also from other accidental damage. This will be a novelty for the Albanian public. INSIG is making visible efforts to align itself with Western standards and to make its services more tangible and more useful to citizens. In the near future, according to the specialists, the range of insurance products offered will also be expanded. This will directly affect the growth of public trust and the strengthening of the institution’s own capacities. For the other specialist, the success of this project also depends on preparing the network of agencies throughout the country. The seminar organized with the participation of Italian experts aimed precisely at standardizing procedures and providing practical staff training. He emphasized that the new documentation will help assess damages more accurately and speed up compensation for clients. In January, INSIG is expected to further expand the range of insurance products, including life insurance. According to the specialists, this will be a new phase in the company’s operation and an important step toward modernizing the Albanian insurance market.

Nature baptizes the orphan children left in the streets by their parents

A sad story of 43 little ones raised by the state BERKAN ÇANI TIRANA — They are children suspended on the threshold of the world, born without fortune, without a surname and without parents. They are newborn babies or older children who arrive at the orphanage with no given name, no history, and often no one at all to look for them. Nature, as if to make up at least a little for the absence of their people, gives them its names: Diell, Yll, Hana, Pranvera, Vera, Lulja. So began the story of these 43 children who are raised by the state. Within the institution’s premises they share the same games, the same beds, the same clothes, but each carries inside a story of their own, usually unclear and painful. Some were found near hospitals, some at the entrances of apartment blocks, others at stations or on the city streets. The institution’s workers say that the small children do not yet understand everything, but as the years pass the question about their parents becomes stronger and harder. This is also their greatest drama: growing up without a family identity and with an uncertain future. Many of them need not only material care, but above all love and human presence. The educators try to create the warmest possible environment for them, but they cannot replace a family. The case of these children also raises a broader social question: how capable is society of protecting its most vulnerable? In a difficult period of transition, child abandonment is a sign of social, economic, and moral crisis. Beyond the statistic of 43 little ones lies a bitter reality that calls for attention and a solution.

The capital asks international organizations for help

An average city pays 100,000 USD for urban medicine THE CITY OF TIRANA has as a priority the provision of basic services for citizens, but economic difficulties and the lack of funds are making it hard to cope with the situation. Municipal leaders have stated that, to solve the many problems of infrastructure and public services, help from international organizations is essential. According to them, the capital faces acute shortages in water supply, cleaning, urban transport, and health services. Only for urban medicine are substantial sums needed, and an average city pays around 100,000 USD for this sector. This figure shows the burden weighing on local finances and the impossibility of meeting the population’s needs alone. In their statements, officials have emphasized that cooperation with donors and international institutions is the most reasonable path to securing the necessary investments. Meanwhile, citizens face every day the concrete consequences of poor infrastructure and low service standards.
