The government sues Brozi in the Constitutional Court

Cassation Court leader: “I will turn to international institutions” TIRANA - Another sensational turn in the "Brozi phenomenon". Just a few hours after the leader of the Cassation Court publicly denounced the "unconstitutional attacks by political power", the government filed a lawsuit against him in the Constitutional Court. The accusation by Meksi’s institution - this time extremely serious - calls for "the declaration of the activity of the Chairman of the Court of Cassation as illegal and unconstitutional". Disappointment in the Athens talks: agreement postponed

A new crisis in Albanian-Greek relations? ATHENS - A new crisis between Tirana and Athens? The two diplomats still remain hopeful, but yesterday the talks between Papoulias and Serreqi were unexpectedly interrupted twice during the day. The much-awaited agreement for the legalization and seasonal employment of more than 200,000 Albanians has been postponed for another time. The ministers’ signatures on the important document will be delayed. The meeting of the two heads of diplomacy began well - as everyone hopes - but continued with moments of nervous tension. Albanians caught in Greece: hashish and fake dirhams

Drugs worth 200 kilograms and 5 million in cash GIROKASTËR - Greek police seize drugs and fake dirhams in the border area. Five million fake dirhams and around 20 kilograms of hashish have fallen into the hands of the Ioannina police over the course of the last week. Meanwhile, two Greeks, a young Albanian man and a family from Himara have ended up in the isolation cells of the Ioannina police. The news has also been confirmed by the local media in Ioannina. Two Greeks, returning from Albania, had stopped at a place called Kristolopigi, very close to the eastern Albanian border. In addition to five million fake drachmas, all 5,000-drachma banknotes, they had been found in possession of two forged Albanian passports and other documents. Other cases concern Kakavijë, where on the buses traveling from Tirana to Athens, the Greek police had discovered 9 kilograms of hashish. In another case, also in Kakavijë, in the car heading to Greece, 9.6 kg of hashish were found. ha.ko. Kakavijë

Either taxes, or the license, for those who do not pay them

Strict tax measures War on tax evaders KRUJË - Kruja is the first district to wage an organized fight against tax evaders. The council is asking the competent authorities to take notice of fiscal evasion in the district of Krujë. In just one area, that of Fushë-Krujë, during the period May-August, 50 entities have handed in their professional permits to the tax office. This situation has come as a result of the strengthening of the financial police initiative, but also of a certain easing of pressure. Meanwhile, these entities have continued their activity as normal. These days a coordinated operation has been launched by the tax police to curb this phenomenon at its outset. "Now 27 of these natural persons - says Omeri Goga, head of the tax office - have withdrawn their permits and 12 others are re-filling the documentation, while also paying the outstanding obligations to the tax office, in order to stabilize their relations with the state." Meanwhile, it is believed that, in the proper way, all those who carry out an activity should not remain illegal entities before the fiscal system, but should be registered with the relevant offices. Only in August, this office issued 97 permits for different profiles in the private business sector. So evading taxes is no longer easy... at least in Krujë. mu.ar.

Village head murderer caught by police

Shkodër, patricide in the village He had shot his brother and then the girl SHKODËR - The person who more than a month ago had killed two people and injured another, namely on 17 July, in the village of Bërdolic in the Shllaku area of the Shkodër district, has been arrested. Zef Shytani, the village head of this village, in July of last year killed his daughter, the bride of his uncle’s son, and at the same time fired, injuring her brother. This shocking news had reached the Shkodër police station several days later, as communication with the Dukagjini region was completely lacking. The police chief himself, Astrit Dërmolari, had gone to the scene at the head of a large force, but the author of the crimes could not be captured. After more than a month, on Thursday, the criminal police arrested Zef Shytani, who is now charged with the murder of two people and the wounding of a third. y.p.
