Maternity scandal: the first three accused
The disappearance of the baby, investigations continue
A midwife, a nurse and a medical assistant have now been placed under criminal responsibility by the Tirana Prosecutor's Office - although, because of the secrecy of the investigation, the legal charge and the request for a security measure that is normally submitted to the Tirana Court have still not been determined. Nevertheless, even though the provisional suspicion surrounding the baby's case has almost been reconstructed, investigators still have not named the main protagonist of the unusual episode that took place inside the Tirana Maternity Hospital.

Tirana, businessman kidnapped
He was forcibly taken from his office on Saturday
Mystery surrounds the event. The kidnappers posed as police officers
A mysterious kidnapping of a businessman in the capital. Meri Hoxha, president of an Albanian-Macedonian company, was taken on Saturday at midday by several people posing as criminal police officers. But from the accounts of the workers, who went to every police station, it emerges that there is no detainee in any of Tirana's police stations under that name. In fact, after the complaint filed on the day of the kidnapping, investigations have also begun into this matter. The identity of the kidnappers remains unknown; when they came out of Hoxha's office, they had handcuffed him and were armed. Then they left together after an hour and also carried out a thorough search of Hoxha's personal car, showing a document according to which they worked for the criminal police and would only carry out an identity check.

Kakavijë:
crossing only during the day
After the sensational incident involving five cars with contraband cigarettes, which burst through the gate of this checkpoint, the control exercised by the border authorities has been multiplied. And the rules for the circulation of vehicles at the mountain crossing point may be extended to include Sunday until the operation is completed. For road traffic the checkpoint also becomes more complicated. With the cold season approaching, daylight hours are getting shorter and this means that some have fewer hours to move around along the border.
