Italian adventure of two children from Vlora
From our editorial staff
LECCE - An adventure that lasted less than 24 hours, but one the two youngsters will never forget. By the time the carabinieri stopped them on the coast, the two brothers were already worn out from exhaustion; nevertheless, they had managed to speak "a little broken" Italian as best they could. Jokingly, they said they had wanted to be like people from Vlora and land in Puglia, but here the protagonists were stopped, and even the carabinieri got off.
At. Nd. [?], is 11 years old and Art. U. [?], is 13 years old. Both live in an area, a little after Agjilimi, on the outskirts of Lecce and about 30 away from Vlora. It was around the end of the morning "Noble P".
Here is the story of their adventure. On Wednesday night they boarded a motorboat, full of clandestine migrants, on a beach near Vlora. After a few hours of travel, Deti and Arturi got off. Pula, near the seaside town of Santa Maria. 06 kilometers away, they set off on a foot march, lasting another ten kilometers during which they rested in Cefalù [?].
Tired from walking, the two boys found a moped of the "Ciao Piaggio" type, hoping to use it to get to Lecce more quickly. But the scooter did not dashed their hopes and so they continued to make their way, holding tight, through the roads where workers at that hour were beginning to work, not far away, to buy fuel. After a refueling, they resumed the journey along the village road. Caught, after just two kilometers, by a patrol of carabinieri, to whom the two young Albanians said they were Italian, although they knew only a few words of the language.
As soon as they were discovered, they decided to surrender and told the whole painful story of the journey. A few hours later, when the carabinieri escorted them to the ferry bound for Vlora, Deti and Arturi shouted: "Now, why didn't you tell us?" Perhaps, for all the courage they showed, they truly deserved to stay.

TIRANË - "PS is open to cooperating with the right-wingers". That is what Gramoz Ruçi, Secretary General of PS, stated at yesterday's election meeting at the party's central headquarters. Ruçi justified this by saying that cooperation can never be absent, including in the foundations of Albanian politics. The latest agreement of 13 parties for the PS leadership during yesterday's free days in DHIA and Ditëtë formed a previously included agreement for its movement.

Feminist organizations: "Women are being discriminated against"
Seminar in Tirana: "We want to be in government"
TIRANË - "We are being discriminated against" is the appeal of several Albanian women at a national seminar organized in Tirana. Exclusion from politics and government, relations with men and within the family; these are the areas where women seek to strengthen their female power. Many women, led by MP Emelinda Meksi, who also presented an analysis of women's economic development in the post-communist period, have presented concrete cases of discrimination against them, asking the state and the relevant organizations for greater attention to the rights they are entitled to by law, with more women in government and in decision-making, also supported by the organizers.
