KORÇË - The village is attacked by bears, but the villagers take revenge. The raised snares have caught the first bear, which was executed in a "medieval" way: they set the animal on fire and then strangled it, and afterwards roasted the meat on a spit, the only case of an intention to eat it. This is the story of a village in Korçë, whose everyday life has been threatened - and continues to be threatened - by wild and dangerous animals. The bears came down from the hills, destroyed the crops, and even dared to roam its streets, frightening and upsetting the villagers, who felt completely defenseless before the most powerful animals. But an unforeseen responsibility for the villagers has been the law and the state, which protect these animals from extinction. Yet the “ungrateful” and decidedly “inhumane” bears seem to have “taken advantage” of this “freedom” granted to them. So the villagers decided to make the “report.” Endless knocking on the doors of the institutions, until the permit was finally issued. More clearly put, they had to pass through the “mountains” of bureaucracy. So at last the familiar method of snares and burning the bears was born.
