The tragedy has now happened. The entire plain on which tens of thousands of people have built their hopes for the future is under the rule of water.

The first Albanian to play in England
Abazi from “Benfica” to “Manchester City”
MANCHESTER - Eduard Abazi, the “wandering footballer,” has embarked on a new adventure. As of yesterday, the former “Dinamo” and Albanian national team player has arrived in Manchester to join the English team “Manchester City.”
The news was officially announced last night by the English club’s management, who have taken him on loan from Benfica. Thirty-year-old Eduard Abazi will be with the English club this month and is set to play on December 30 against “Southampton” in the next “Premier League” match.
He will be the fifth foreign player for “Manchester City,” alongside the Italian and Georgian Kinkladze, the German Eike Imel and Uwe Rosler, as well as the Dane Ronnie Ekelund; however, for Abazi there will be no … for taking the field. In fact, the English move was the first to approve the ruling of the Luxembourg court concerning the number of players who may be fielded by European teams. For the Albanian, who has been recruited by several foreign clubs, this will be a new adventure. After “Hajduk” of Split, “Olympique” of Marseille, “Boavista,” “Benfica” of Lisbon, and Stock City, another prestigious club, Manchester City, will now be his current stop, though perhaps not his last.
