Asked at a press conference about the statements of PS chairman Fatos Nano, according to whom "the case is only in the hands of the prosecutor," Mr. Çela said that "we cannot order or force the court." On the other hand, in a statement to the press, the Socialist Party declared that Nano's arrest and the investigation against him were illegal and politically motivated. The PS also claimed that there is no evidence regarding the 400 thousand dollars which, according to the accusation, came out of state banks. INTERVIEW Shehu: "Unlawful denunciation" CANO DOLLANO TIRANË - The General Prosecutor, Aranit Çela, stated yesterday that the non-execution of the court decision on the innocence of former Prime Minister Fatos Nano is still a matter in the hands of the court and not the prosecution. According to him, the procedures for implementing the decision depend on the relevant bodies and any other interpretation is hasty. He added that the investigations into the 400 thousand dollar case are continuing and that any conclusion must be based only on documents and evidence.
