The High Council of Justice will decide on Monday on the black robes who have committed irregularities
TIRANA - Postponed court proceedings and judges failing to come to work, violations in issuing court decisions, are some of the dark sides of the judiciary. Precisely to eliminate these and avoid shortcomings, a change in the structure of justice is being considered. This was stated yesterday at a press conference held at the Ministry of Justice by Kreshnik Frosheri, specifying that the problems were discussed at a meeting of the High Council of Justice. According to him, on Monday, administrative measures will be taken against several people for these violations. "There were several specific people who took a suitcase full of money with them. We notified the Tirana police in time and the police managed to stop them. We have sent these cases to court, but so far nothing has been decided and the case has been returned several times," said the Minister of Justice. He also said that some of the decisions were not taken within the deadlines prescribed by law and that this has created opportunities for abuse.
The minister also spoke about the need to reform the justice system and increase judges’ accountability.
