Money lent at interest POGRADEC - Mystery surrounds the death of a 34-year-old man in Pogradec. Conflicting results from the hospitals in Pogradec and Korçë have prompted a series of suspicions about the fate of Shaban Jazenxhiu, known to have possessed a great deal of money that he had lent at interest. Initially, his death was classified as a heart attack; after the autopsy in Korçë, however, another cause was identified: the man had been poisoned. Police specialists are now working to uncover the truth and, following a request from his family, have begun an investigation. The shocking story of Jazenxhiu began three days earlier, when he was in Pogradec: his family lives in Devoll. That night he spent time drinking with some friends and then slept at one of their homes. The next morning he went out early and sat down at one of the town’s cafés: he had only a coffee and a soft drink. Just moments later, the first symptoms began to appear: the poor man felt stabbing pains in his knees and his face had turned yellow. He was having difficulty breathing and felt tightness in his heart. He was immediately taken to the town hospital. But his life lasted no more than an hour and a half. In the end, the doctors wrote the final diagnosis in his medical file: “Died of a heart attack.” It is understandable that Jazenxhiu’s family was not at all reassured. Knowing how much money their son had possessed and lent at interest to many townspeople, they requested an autopsy. The lifeless body of the 34-year-old was taken to Korçë. The astonishing result emerged there: Jazenxhiu had died of poisoning. His family’s suspicions were confirmed. The 34-year-old’s death was not natural. TIRANA — At last, Albania too will have a special “Shërbë”. The project in the center of the capital is being developed by “Bri-ga e Karaj” together with that of Durës. The powerful international company “Tomor Holding SA” Bid” will launch the Tirana Shopping Center at the end of 95. A project that will cover 32 thousand square meters, within which an 8-storey retail and office complex will be built, as well as spaces for parking vehicles. An attractive prospect: 300 workers—just for one blt—will have the opportunity to contribute to its construction, as new initiatives, while upon its completion another 200 will make up the staff of the Tirana Shopping Center. Thus, a not insignificant part of the infrastructure in central Tirana is expected to change, already suffocated by the realities of holes and toys attached by anonymity.
