TIRANA - As of today, the Tirana Prosecutor’s Office will no longer be headed by Arben Qeleshi and Genc Gjokutaj.
Yesterday afternoon—at 16:30—the news also emerged from the meeting room, together with the members of the High Council of Justice, that the capital’s two well-known chief prosecutors had been appointed to other posts, but no longer to the positions where they had worked until yesterday. Adnan Xhelli, Vexhi Muçmataj and Blerim Tomini are the ones who, together with the other Deputy Prosecutor, Beqir Kokoshi—who will continue to hold his current post—will form the new “poker” of leaders of the country’s largest Prosecutor’s Office.

SARAJEVO - Long accused of impotence in the face of the tragedy unfolding in Bosnia, NATO has finally responded to the Serbs’ challenge.
The day after the massacre in Sarajevo’s marketplace, an air assault began with a series of attacks against Radovan Karaxhiç’s army. TIRANA - New wage Parliament with a special study setting out and changes to wage levels. This was announced yesterday by the prime minister himself, who outlined the government’s plan during a television interview, in which he explained in detail the changes to the new wage system.
The new categorization of remuneration appears likely to benefit most those levels currently paid the least, as well as the lowest pensions. “But at the same time,” Meksi explained, “there is also an internal restructuring of the categories that, up to now, receive less than they will under the new system.”

“Most of the parties have accepted our invitations.” This was how PR spokesperson Neritan Alibali expressed his satisfaction yesterday. Just three days earlier, the leader of this party, Sabri Godo, had called for inter-party talks on the electoral law, extending an invitation to all parties represented in Parliament and local government; they did not delay in sending their replies.

SHKODËR - “Just in the past few days, dozens of tanker trucks have been unloaded along the Buna.”
It is the villagers in the area around the river that flows toward Montenegro who are once again reporting the movement of fuel across the Albanian border. Alongside them is one of the leaders of the Democratic Alliance Party, Gjergj Zefi, who makes a strong statement: “The smuggling continues, and I have documents identifying the real perpetrators of this traffic, which I will report publicly.”
According to the villagers’ accounts, hundreds of tonnes have crossed Albanian territory in recent days, ending up in Montenegro via the Buna. They say they have seen dozens of tanker trucks unloaded on the bank of the Buna in the Dajç area. Large quantities of the precious liquid have been transferred onto floating tankers, which then sailed away to unload on the other bank.
Similar accounts have also been given by the chairman of the PAD Assembly, Gjergj Zefi, who has called attention to the continuing fuel traffic in the Shkodër area. Zefi has also stressed that he has other documents and evidence supporting his accusations. “I will publicly report the real perpetrators of this traffic, using the documents I have,” the Democratic Alliance Party leader said yesterday.
