Genc meets Berisha
"We will occupy you peacefully"
TIRANË - "Without changing the Antigenocide law there can be no free democratic elections in Albania. We will file a request with the Constitutional Court to strike down this law. Only by changing its Article 3" according to which the people covered by this law will be included starting with the next elections, "will the elections truly be democratic." That is what Jean Francois Vallin, Secretary General of the European Socialist Party, declared into the microphone at the press conference.

Berisha and Genc yesterday in Tiranë
TIRANË - "I do not declare a military occupation in Albania, but socialists and excellent businesspeople whose task is to occupy your country by peaceful means." Arpad Genc, President of Hungary, extended these playful remarks to highlight the objective economic difficulties of the delegation he is leading during his visit to Albania. Two Hungarian private enterprises are being created to strengthen cooperation in all fields.
The formation of economic ties between Hungary and Albania dominated all the issues in the Berisha-Genc talks. After hearing a presentation on developments in the economic transition in their countries, the two presidents turned to the concrete possibilities for economic and business cooperation. For his part, Berisha emphasized these opportunities in tourism, agriculture, telecommunications, infrastructure, the food industry and mining, citing the favorable laws for foreign investors in Albania.
And the other president of Albanian and Hungarian businesses at Tirana International Hotel, which strongly emphasized the economy - in fact, throughout the presidents' talks there was even discussion of cooperation in military or cultural fields - Hungarian in Albania. And once again it was Berisha who, during his speech, also spoke about the special role that entrepreneurs and businesspeople have in building friendship and bringing the two countries closer together. Afterwards, both presidents and the delegations accompanying them were given time, and they answered the many questions from entrepreneurs and businesspeople.

For the ruling party, only a few hours after the publication of the story in "Albania", the request has already been formulated for the state authorities and especially the prosecutors. "This is the biggest political scandal; a parliamentary commission must be set up," the Democratic Party spokesperson said yesterday, adding that the Prosecutor's Office and SHIK must also intervene. Also yesterday, the editor of "Koha Jonë", Nikollë Lesi, himself spoke out.

"2 April, the first manipulated investigation"
Hajdari accuses the file tried in Shkodër
Yesterday, the Chairman of the Order Committee in the Prosecutor's Office: "Check Ruçi's telegrams"
Azem Hajdari
TIRANË - "The preliminary investigations for 2 April have been the most manipulated". Azem Hajdari, chairman of the Parliamentary Commission on Order, after the publication of the facts about the tragic event, makes accusations, casting a shadow of suspicion over the process carried out in Shkodër for the killing of Arben Broci. "The two telegrams sent by the Ministry of the Interior and all the recordings of the meeting held at the Presidency on the day of the event could have been filed in the investigative dossier and not only at that time".

Radioactivity risk for imported foods?
Institute specialist: "Strict control is needed"
TIRANË - "Even in Albania there is a risk of radioactive food entering the country, so controls must always be stricter." This is what the specialists have found. "It is clear. Sokrat Amatja, a specialist at the Institute of Nuclear Physics, explains to Gazeta Shqiptare that everything regarding the risk must be checked. "As a potential threat it exists, as it does throughout the world," Amatja explains, "but given the situation, when some products are lacking, then we are more careful than other countries".

Hunting banned in the Lake hills
Tiranë, two people are stopped while hunting with an unlicensed weapon
TIRANË - A pleasant walk in the Lake hills can suddenly turn into a dangerous adventure. In principle, this is not [fakti?] for hunters of [unreadable] who would like to find [unreadable] and rest for a few moments [unreadable]. The capital is, for [hunters?], the site of an [event?] that actually happened the day before yesterday in Tiranë, where two people were stopped by the police station of order while they were hunting, [hunting?] in a place that is certainly far away, quiet and rich in game, tomorrow forever with hares and other birds, of course.
The two hunters, ["]qafaman"], were caught by the capital's police officers in the usual way in those parts while they were enjoying shooting in the forest of the Artificial Lake. Caught by surprise, the two hunters were forced to surrender their "field" weapons - a single-barrel shotgun and a double-barrel, both without permits. Thus, the offense of hunting in an inappropriate place was added to that of "carrying weapons without a permit." They were both taken to the police station, but later they refused release. They will be sent on Monday to the offices of Justice to answer the questions that will determine their future. This whole story would probably have passed completely unnoticed if there had not been a [trok?] of the impossibility of today's time to enjoy nature. The gunshots sparked protests; in this story they had been hunting and perhaps found some game reserve. In that way neither their companions nor they themselves would enjoy it, nor would the evenings, such as the last one.
Xhepa's flu cancels the performance
Genc’s play will be staged today
TIRANË - Xhepa's flu has canceled the performance. Meanwhile, as Hungarian President Arpad Genc had arrived in Albania and his honor was scheduled to see his play "Xhepat" staged, Ndriçim Xhepa's illness has effectively blocked the performance. It had been scheduled for yesterday at lunchtime and the presence of leading personalities had postponed the event to today.
"Yesterday I informed my friends and the organizers" - Ndriçim Xhepa told Gazeta Shqiptare last night over the phone - "it was impossible for me to go on stage, and even more so in front of the author of the play himself, the Hungarian President. I hope I will be better. If the flu continues with the same symptoms, then tomorrow's date will also be discussed".
Only a few weeks ago, the play "Hekurat" had been performed by the actors of the National Theatre. For many, it had been greatly appreciated by spectators and had "stolen" most of the acclaim from its lead actor Ndriçim Xhepa.
