At its latest meeting, the Committee on the Rights of Parliamentarians expressed itself in strong and deeply concerned terms about the socialist leader’s continued detention. “We are alarmed by the combination of measures whose effect is to keep Mr Nano in prison.” But immediately after it arrived in Tirana, Nano’s lawyer, Përparim Sanxhaku, did not hesitate to express his satisfaction with the decision of “I am pleased with the position taken by the Geneva Union,” he told Gazeta Shqiptare yesterday.

But above all, optimal conditions and complete safety for holding them. “If you do not have two international-standard stadiums ready by July for matches in the European Cups, UEFA may reduce the participation of teams from countries that do not meet the requirements.” A fax was sent to all the federations of Eastern European countries, including Albania, drawing attention to the need to improve the conditions for holding matches. According to it, every UEFA member country may enter teams in all European competitions (“Champion League”, the Cup Winners’ Cup, the UEFA Cup), provided that the participating country meets UEFA’s requirements concerning football stadiums. But the conditions set by the Union of European Football Associations concern order and safety in stadiums.
First of all, every country must submit to the UEFA Commission the names of the teams expected to take part in the European Cups next year. The names of the stadiums that may be ready to host the teams in Europe must also be submitted to this Commission. In addition, every participating country must specify the hotels available to the visiting team in the host city, as well as the condition of the airports that can be used for aircraft to land, including charter planes. On page 5, UEFA’s letter to these countries also asks for the distance by bus from the airport to the stadium. The UEFA Commission will also attach great importance to the condition of the pitch and changing rooms, the showers, the provision of seating in the stadium, fencing, the separation of rival supporters, etc. Another commission will verify on site that all these requirements have been met before the match.
