Today the Electoral Commission closes the files TIRANA – The Central Commission is closing the complaint-verification files today. For three consecutive days, the screening process reviewed the preparation of lists of names, signatures, stamps and lists, to be finally removed today. More than 100 affiliated and independent candidates, as well as 25 political entities, underwent examinations for three days at the Electoral Commission’s central office. Berat, hospital admissions continue BERAT—Inspections of village mills are beginning. An order from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food has led its specialists to be deployed in the country’s districts, mainly in Fier and Berat, to prevent the epidemic spread of lead poisoning. A meeting held yesterday in Berat also set the strategy for combating mills using lead. Strict inspections will cover all the villages in the area, from which dozens of poisoning cases have emerged in recent days. There were further hospital admissions yesterday, while some people were not admitted because there was no room. After the Qoku family, who arrived a few days ago, admissions have continued from various villages.
