“They would have established the Dictatorship of the Proletariat”
Yesterday, the court issued its decision on the Political Bureau of the illegal Communist Party. Sentenced to six years
TIRANA - Albanian communists are going to prison. The court has ordered prison sentences for the four leaders of the illegal Communist Party. “Guilty of founding unconstitutional parties”—on this charge, the four protagonists of the legally prohibited venture were sentenced yesterday. Timoshenko Pekmezi was sentenced to two years in prison, Sami Meta to two and a half years, and Tare Isufi and Kristaq Mosko to one year each. All four defendants asked only for justice from the court. The judge found them guilty, stating in the ruling that the new Communist Party aimed to seize power by force. “During their illegal activity,” the judges said, “they distributed many leaflets calling for the overthrow of democratic power and the establishment of the dictatorship of the proletariat.” The ruling set out a chronology of the illegal activity to re-establish the Communist Party. According to the ruling, the main purpose of their work was to seize power by force and unite the two communist factions. The first was led by Hysni Milloshi and the second by Razi Brahimi. The agreement, which was to be implemented along with the founding of the Communist Party, was to be reached at the First Congress, which could not be held because the leaders of the communist groups were arrested a few days before the congress. Yesterday, after the ruling, the defendants, along with their lawyers, said they would appeal to the Court of Appeal.

Van intercepted by a gang with masks and automatic weapons
. KUKËS - A currency exchange dealer and his fellow passengers were robbed by people wearing masks and armed with automatic weapons. They were traveling toward Tirana in a van in the early hours of Saturday morning when, just a few kilometers outside the city, a gang of robbers ambushed them. At gunpoint, they forced the passengers to get out and hand over all the money they had with them. Only the currency exchange dealer-emigrant did not [?]—they took around 30 thousand German marks. All the passengers were brutally threatened by the gang. Then—the operation lasted only a few minutes—the robbers drove off quickly, leaving no trace. The police detained several people suspected of taking part in the crime and sent three of them to Tirana. On page 5
Peza, Xoxe and Spahiu: pluralism began in November ’45
. TIRANA - Peza once again trumpets the unity of Albanians. A grand festive ceremony, attended by some of the highest state authorities, including ministers Shamata and Zhukali, sought to commemorate the important event that took place 54 years ago. On September 16, 1942, at the height of the Fascist occupation, well-known representatives of all the political currents present in Albania at the time sought to form an embryo of a pluralist Albanian state, setting as their main objective the liberation of the country from the occupiers by achieving the unity of the people “without distinction of religion, region or ideas.” On page 7

Farewell, Lec Bushati
The Shkodër actor leaves his loved ones
SHKODËR - Farewell, Lec Bushati! The actor of the “Migjeni” Theatre has passed away after a serious illness at the age of 73.
He died of a serious illness at the age of 73. Farewell, Lec Bushati. The actor from Shkodër leaves his loved ones. SHKODËR - Farewell, Lec Bushati! The actor of the “Migjeni” Theatre has passed away after a serious illness at the age of 73, which, despite his having endured it, and the pain, accompanied his body to its final resting place.
Bushati had a forty-year career, and audiences admired his distinctive style of performance. On stage, he was one of the greatest members of the “core” upon which the “Migjeni” company was later built, performing alongside Cjep Karrmia and Loro Kovaçi. With around 140 roles, Bushati remains one of the most prominent figures in Albanian theatre and cinema. After completing the Institute of Arts, the Shkodër-born actor made an impression in the autobiographical dramas “Nova,” “Karneta,” “Shpartallimi,” “Baca,” “Çelajve” and “Çjaku i arbërit,” as well as in foreign plays such as “Përmbysja” and “Nena.”
Bushati’s portrayal of cinematic characters in “Operacioni Zjarri,” “Ditët që sollën pranverën” and “Rrugë të bardha” was outstanding. His career had begun early and reached a peak. In the co-production “Skënderbeu,” Bushati’s voice spoke the words of Gjergj Kastrioti. “He had a beautiful voice, suited to the performance of the Georgian actor Akaki Horova,” Besa Imami, one of the actors who had performed under the direction of the Russian Sergej Jutkeviç, recalled yesterday to Gazeta Shqiptare.
Bushati will remain one of the most important pioneers of Albanian cinema. Although he has left his loved ones, he will leave much behind for everyone, enough to ensure he is never forgotten. Er. Mil.
