DNJ asked Mr. Sali Berisha whether the right-wing opposition would continue with protests. "You would do better to ask the government how much blood it is ready to spill?" was his reply. According to Mr. Berisha, the government will be responsible for the protests that may erupt if it does not return the citizens' money. When asked whether these statements follow the radical positions of the right, the former president said: "There is no destabilizing tendency whatsoever. What kind of destabilization can a protest against the theft of the century that has happened bring to this country? We brought people into the square on 12 September 1991 and we will bring them out again if necessary. It is the government that is inciting revolt if it does not return the Albanians' money". On the other hand, Berisha accused Prime Minister Nano of an anti-democratic campaign. "He is trying to present the opposition as a worthy rival capable of plunging the country into a civil war. TIRANA - Prime Minister Fino yesterday allocated an amount of 300 million lekë to the state newspaper "Zëri i Popullit". This amount was granted under conditions of open discrimination against the private press. While "Gazeta Shqiptare" and other private media are facing economic difficulties, the government is favoring its own outlets. Minister Solis[?] has offered money to Gazeta Shqiptare[?].
