In a response sent to the newspaper "Gazeta Shqiptare", the prosecutors say such statements only seriously damage the judicial system and the image of the institutions. They add that the files in question are kept and administered according to procedural rules. In a special reaction, prosecutor Toninaj says that, based on the materials brought from Vlora, there are suspicions of abuses involving documents related to the gangs. He stresses that the investigations are continuing and that it cannot be said that files have been thrown into the street. This issue has sparked political and institutional debate.
