Meanwhile, the Government’s representatives were the chief inspector of pyramid schemes, Farudin Arapi, and the director of the Legislation Directorate at the Ministry of Finance, Genc Çifligu. Muçi requested that Article 3 of the transparency law not be applied. “This article applies to companies that are unable to pay. VEFA is able to pay off its creditors, so the appointment of administrators is unacceptable,” VEFA’s lawyers argued.
