Politics: This is why Tolojome is on the street TIRANA - Now that yesterday’s quarrel in the office of the chief administrator of the company "Sude" has been clarified, where it was initially said that armed men with bombs and machine guns had entered, it is officially stated that everything was a misunderstanding. The company president’s brother, one of its most important employees, and one of the lawyers were yesterday afternoon on the second floor of the company building, on Elbasani Street, where the administrative offices are located. According to the initial information, they insulted and argued with the new company managers, administrator Rajmonda Tusha. Gjinushi attacks Meidani

A sharp reaction from the group leader: "I know the local cleaner better than he does" Gjinushi attacks Meidani "The President sends us laws back for no reason" TIRANA - It is not expected that yesterday’s decision of the Council for the Defense of the Republic will bring any easing of relations among the political parties. On the contrary, today or tomorrow it is possible that a new conflict will erupt. At least a verbal conflict between the President of the Republic, Rexhep Meidani, and a political party, in this case the PSD. It was the chairman of the Social Democratic parliamentary group, Skënder Gjinushi, who harshly attacked the head of state yesterday. At a meeting of the PSD parliamentary group, he said that "the President is trying to place parliament under his orders". He was referring to the three laws voted by parliament a few days earlier, which the President has not decreed. More specifically, the law "On the demolition of unauthorized buildings and their additions", the decree "On approving the government’s normative act of 17 September 1997", as well as the decree "On an amendment to Law no. 7491 on land". According to Gjinushi, the President returned these laws and decrees only out of "revenge". He stressed that "Meidani is behaving like the president of a party and not of the Albanian state". Gjinushi also considered the President’s arguments unfounded and meaningless. "As for the demolition law, this law was made by us together with the president back when he was secretary of state. Now he sends it back and says it is contrary to the Constitution. As for the amendment to the land law, land is not distributed by law, but by government decision. A ridiculous display by the president’s advisers who appointed him and did not give him the proper arguments. As for the normative act of 17 September, he gives no explanation at all. In my view, they do not even know what a normative act is and what a decree is. In all three cases the president has gone completely beyond his rights." Words that will greatly increase the tensions between the new opposition and the presidency. (continued on page 2) MejdanI and the Presidency (photo on 10)
