PS, our friends in PD

The second man of the socialists speaks about today's political problems PS, our friends in PD Majko recounts the difficult contacts with the opposition "Is there a clash between the President and the Prime Minister? Yes, but that is only political soup" TIRANË - Without going into the substance of our politics with the opposition, I want to say only this: as a ruling party and as the governing majority, we cannot regard the opposition as an irrelevant factor for developments in the country; quite the opposite. I consider relations with the opposition to be a kind of necessary existence for us, as a force representing the majority of the people. But, as we have acted so far, contacts with the opposition have not only not been lacking, they have in fact been continuous, and to solve some problems we have made great efforts. This is an issue that has continued over time, and it is happening now as well, although I think the opposition should not remain in a stance of denial. At the same time, I think the opposition has no reason to identify itself with the problems of individual persons. Perhaps it would be more useful if the opposition parties themselves tried to move toward a clear political program rather than being so closely tied to immediate interests. Against this, we as the majority have the duty to show political maturity, but also determination not to leave the country's developments hostage. If there are polemics over the President-Prime Minister relationship, that is only a "political soup". We have much more important real problems, and attention should be focused on rebuilding the state and the economy. The outcome of this period will depend on how Albanian politics will know how to move from the rhetoric of conflict to a practice of institutional cooperation. Near Majko and Serb P-010

So far, three charges in the file, which could weigh on them TIRANË - As learned from the Tirana Prosecutor's Office, an investigation is under way into a case linked to medical equipment and the way it is used in some hospital structures. The Adriatic, this ugly swamp

Carlo Bollino I still remember that triptych with the fighting headlines lined up on the wall of the press conference room of the NGO Albatros a few months ago: "Let's save the last soldier", "Why does the government protect the smuggling of clandestine migrants?", "Enough with the blockade of the Swamp". It was a direct accusation against Interior Minister Neritan Ceka, considered by Albatros responsible for a series of police operations against the powerful speedboats that carried clandestine migrants night after night to the shores of Puglia. By then there had been 82 deaths, in an still dramatic Mediterranean panorama, with many owners of inflatable boats and traffickers making money by putting other people's lives at risk. The figures for illegal migration flows to Italy continued to be alarming. But the NGO Albatros called these police actions a kind of senseless war against those who only wanted to cross the sea for a better life. This rhetoric, accompanied by noisy sentimentality, created a moral fog over a criminal activity that was taking on frightening proportions. The problem was not only the human drama of migration, but also the fact that around this drama an entire business had grown up, with political connections, dirty money and violence. The Adriatic was turning into an ugly swamp, where hope and deception, victims and profiteers floated together. Within this framework, the Albanian state had not only the right, but also the duty to intervene. Whoever described this intervention as cruelty was in fact helping the illegal trade in people to continue. If we want to see reality without hypocrisy, we must admit that behind the romantic image of speedboats tearing across the sea at night there is a real criminal industry. And this industry cannot be pardoned with moralistic slogans.

Berisha: Mediani is acting like Rankoviç

TIRANË - Berisha has again spoken about political developments and has accused opponents of using pressure and intimidation tactics. In his statement he used the comparison that "Mediani is acting like Rankoviç", aiming to denounce a climate that, according to him, is weighing on political life. The statement has triggered immediate reactions. Berisha's supporters have described it as a warning against the return of repressive practices, while his opponents have considered it exaggerated political rhetoric. In any case, the reference to Rankoviç loads the debate with strong historical symbolism, shifting the discourse from the polemics of the day toward the memory of fear and control.
