“The Sons of Hermes” turn 85 YESTERDAY, THE ANNIVERSARY OF PTT SERVICE TIRANË - Perhaps they have made it responsible, perhaps they have somehow brought it into the rhythm of their working day, perhaps it had been planned for a long time. At the post office, everything was going well. At the PTT counters there was a quietness to envy. Clerks went in and out, took documents, scolded one another. For at least three hours, the people who came there did not leave without getting their work done. It was truly a calm and harmonious atmosphere. The reason? At the PTT enterprise in Tiranë, yesterday the 85th anniversary of the creation of the postal service in Albania was celebrated. Employees of the postal, telephone and telegraph services had been engaged in celebrating in a working atmosphere. The director of post-telecom, Kristo Luarasi, was greeting and receiving greetings. To mark the 85th anniversary, various materials, photographs and old records of the work of the Albanian post were displayed. Landslides of earth and rocks have blocked the road axis, creating major difficulties for traffic. Residents and travelers are being forced to use a long mountain route.
