Defense Minister Sabit Brokaj stated that Albania is not militarily prepared for a direct conflict, while MP Azem Hajdari stressed that the country has NATO’s support. The "traitor" came from Rugova

TIRANË - A graceful bud, determined eyes. A smile cast like a small moon. Mothers from Kosovo had come all the way here with their children to spend the night in Tirana. A little girl was waiting with her father. In the hall there were many people, uniforms, voices, and a hidden anxiety. Someone spoke about Rugova and about someone who had come from there and was called a “traitor”. The story had begun as a strange tale, but it soon took on the color of a grave accusation. People who fled death SHKODËR - “Where should we run to in Gjakovë, they told us after evening had fallen that two grenades had landed in the yard of the house. That frightened us. We got up, took the children and fled to Albania” [?]. “The road to Albania was dangerous, but there was no other solution” [?]. At the border, many of them had lost everything. 200-3000 marks were paid to cross, while in Kukës they found only temporary shelter. “We didn’t even have bread” [?].
