TIRANA - Yesterday the Prosecutor's Office requested the lifting of the immunity of the former prime minister, the PD leader, Sali Berisha, accused as the organizer of the armed rebellion. The Prosecutor's Office stated that there were sufficient suspicions and evidence to bring the charge of organizing the rebellion.
While Berisha's response was expected at the meeting of the PD parliamentary group. He spoke only about the arrest of the head of the Tirana PDS, Haxhi Lleshi, and three other members of the leadership of this party. Berisha said that the PD will protest by any means.

At yesterday's PD meeting, the tone against the government became harsher. Meanwhile, police forces and special units remained on high alert after the clashes of the last two days in Tirana.
