It is also understood that Vasil Melo linked this event to a journalistic article, a very harsh one published yesterday in “Albania” under the title “Greece Is Killing”, signed by the Albanian? Shaban Murati. “Shaban Murati has no moral right to write like this,” Vasil Melo had stated shortly before, regarding this article. The explosion occurred yesterday around 18:30 on the first floor of a building where Melo lives. According to the first information? THE LITTLE PLAYERS OF POLITICS

SHEFQET MAZREKU P Just like a noisy cast of actors in the tragicomic staging of Sunday and yesterday, the noisy politicians of our transition are also moving according to the well-known script: they make fiery appeals, beat their chests, raise patriotic tones and speak in the name of the people, while in reality they are playing with its nerves and with the country's fate. Instead of responsible politics, we have a street spectacle, bombastic declarations and groups of militants testing their strength with shouting and sticks. It is not difficult to understand that the country cannot get out of the spiral of crisis with the usual recipes of state capture, with blackmail, with revolt folklore and with manipulation of civic anger. Anyone who tries to further inflame the conflict, regardless of political color, bears direct responsibility for the consequences. A serious opposition and a responsible majority must be measured by their ability to build order, not to produce chaos. In this weary theater, the citizen remains once again the most exploited extra. He is invited to applaud or to shout, but not to be heard. And that is precisely where the degradation of politics into a game without rules begins, where the loser is always the public. Real politics is not made with fear, with ultimatums and with improvisations. It requires institutions, moderation and responsibility.

Among the persons for whom an arrest warrant has been issued, it is understood that former ATSH director Ilir Zhilla is also included. In addition to the arrest warrants, the Ministry of Public Order has also drawn up a list of 25 police officials who will be dismissed for responsibility in failing to react during the riots. Official sources said that some of the arrest warrants are related to damage to institutions, possession of weapons without a permit and incitement of the crowd. The list of wanted persons includes well-known names from opposition structures and the former administration, while some of those detained were escorted overnight to various police stations in the capital. Sources said the prosecutor's office is collecting video evidence, eyewitness testimony and materials seized from the attacked buildings. Meanwhile, the public order ministry continues the process of transfers and dismissals, which began after the balance sheet of recent days. On page 4

Clinton: A group of friends of Albania should be created

The President of the USA at the meeting with Prodi TIRANA - The creation of a consultative, international and coordinating forum for developments in Albania is the proposal put forward yesterday by US President Bill Clinton in his meeting with Italian Prime Minister Romano Prodi, with whom he discussed the crisis in Albania. He called it a “group like this,” the “Group of Friends of Albania,” meaning an informal structure that would keep international attention on Albania coordinated during the stabilization phase. According to diplomatic sources, the conversation emphasized the need for the main Western partners to contribute not only economic assistance, but also political support for the rebuilding of institutions. President Clinton also expressed concern over the escalation of tension after the recent events and assessed that the preservation of constitutional order is a prerequisite for any kind of long-term aid. For his part, Prodi underlined that Italy would remain committed to supporting Albania and that coordinated international initiatives could help restore normality. The meeting was seen as a strong political signal that the Albanian crisis remains in the focus of Washington and Rome. (read on page 2)
