Hour by hour, aggression against Albania
3 KILLED, 12 WOUNDED SINCE SUNDAY. RESIDENTS ARE LIVING IN BUNKERS
The northern border is being mined. Yugoslav artillery has bombarded border villages for two days in a row with shells that scatter into many fragments, turning into small mines and endangering the entire area. During Sunday’s attack, three villagers were killed and 12 people were wounded as a result of the bombardment, most of them police officers from the Old Tropojë post.
Following these actions by the Serbs, women and children have begun to be evacuated from the border area, while men fit for military service have taken shelter in bunkers to escape the shells. The Albanian army has reinforced its troops in Kukës and Tropojë with additional personnel and weapons, while the Government has described the aggression of the past two days as a serious violation of Albanian territory. Among the wounded UÇK members was a Frenchman who had fought voluntarily alongside the Kosovars.

The 34-year-old “Tozo” was considered the richest man in the city
VLORË - The “king” of speedboat operators and the trafficking of illegal migrants in Vlorë has been massacred in a hail of automatic gunfire. Tozo—his real name was Fatmir Shehu, 34—was killed in one of the bars in Skela where Vlorë’s speedboat operators gathered in the evenings. One of the city’s richest men and a friend of many current politicians, he was also one of the figures in the events of February this year, when Vlorë chief of police Sokol Kociu was taken hostage.
