Editorial Today, Gazeta Shqiptare has a woman editor-in-chief. We did as UNESCO suggested: women are to run the media around the world for one day. We apologize to our readers, but today nothing has changed. The pages covering current events are the same, those covering politics are the same, and the same can be said of the regions, culture and sports. The day before, we thought long and hard: what could we do to mark March 8 in a special way? Put a symbolic woman on the front page or fill the newspaper with photos of women walking through the capital’s streets, dressed up and carrying flowers? We did none of those things. We decided to follow the day’s events as they unfold and arrange them on the pages as we see fit, as we do in our day-to-day work. With just one change. With this article, we want to wish a happy March 8 not to women, but to men. Yes. “Men, Happy March 8, the day of your mothers, wives and sisters.” Then we’ll tell you an untold secret... On page 9

Two days ago, Greece’s Court of Administrative Audit, an institution described as “independent,” published a report that clearly implicated our Foreign Minister, Paskal Milo, in the scandal involving the trafficking of Greek visas in Albania. The audit’s findings spoke openly and specifically about the chief Albanian diplomat, while Gjinushi’s name was merely mentioned. More than a genuine contribution by the Greek authorities to uncovering the visa scandal in Albania, the accusations against the Albanian Minister conceal—very possibly—a highly dangerous game for Albania’s future, the results of which we are expected to learn no later than March 31, that is, in three weeks. On that very near date, Albania will seek to obtain as many millions as possible from the donors of the Pact in Brussels. This is because the meeting at which the funds for the first phase of the much-publicized Stability Pact will be allocated is to take place in Brussels on March 31.
